"Kolkata SAI Archer, Monika Saren ranked 2nd in Indian senior Women Archery team. A promising young archer, she is likely to appear in Archery World Cup and Olympics for the country.

Monika belongs to a tribal community whose family income amounts to Rs 4000 per month. Owing to her financial condition she could not possibly continue her training. Sambhava upon realising her potential supported her financially under its sports sponsorship program. Today she is making the country proud of her achievements."

She is the daughter of a daily wage labourer working at construction sites. Coming from a background where she was just able to get basic education, she qualified under the Hunar Training program.

To cater to the qualification of Anita, the Hunar programme was tailored as per her skills. Instead of focussing on English as language of communication, she was trained in Hindi communication and personal grooming.

"Bristy is a promising chess player. She has participated in many State, National and International level tournaments and bagged many medals. In 2011, she won Bronze Medal in Asian School Chess (Under 7 girls’ category). Recently, she has won Silver Medal in Individual and Gold Medal in Team India, in Asian Youth Chess Championship 2018 (Under 14 girls' category) held in Chiangmai, Thailand in April. She is extremely talented and confident to achieve the International and Grand Master titles soon."

Nina Shil

"Nina is a handball player of India. She was the captain of the Indian team for the Junior Handball Championship held in Hong Kong in 2017. Nina was adjudged the best goalkeeper. Team India got the Bronze medal in the IHF continental phase championship held in Thailand in 2017."

Radha's parents work as labourers and she used to work as domestic help in Jasola Vihar. She came to know of Sambhava's Social Entrepreneurship program and applied for it. After getting selected for the program, she underwent four months of training.

"Today, I am successfully running my own boutique. This could not have been possible without the support of Sambhava Foundation. It actually gave me a motive in life."

With a family of 7 to feed and meagre income working as a tailor, it was difficult to make ends meet for Poonam's father. She only hoped to get a good job by the end of the training offered by Hunar program so that she can support her family and ease the burden off his father's shoulders.
