Our Work

The activities of Sambhava Foundation are based on its central focus on skills development and empowerment of resource poor women. To retain focus, the activities are currently limited to the National Capital Region covering, New Delhi, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon.

Facilitating vocational training is our core activity. We provide sponsorship to deserving candidates with the objective of imparting a skill set to them which would enable them employment opportunities. We also help selected candidates in completing their courses and keep the dropout rate as low as possible. Counselling students on their professional and personal difficulties is part of this programme so that students develop self-confidence and are motivated to do better.

Currently, the Foundation works in different kinds of vocational training, which include fashion designing, beauty culture, nursing and hospitality management. More courses are being added to widen the base of training.

The Foundation’s chapter in Kolkata, West Bengal provides need based scholarships to aspiring girl students for higher studies, including for doctoral programmes.

The chapter also provides scholarship and other support to sportswomen from resource poor background and from rural areas to participate in national and international tournaments.
