The primary goal of this initiative was to empower mothers with the knowledge and skills to become advocates for water conservation within their communities. By equipping them with the tools to promote sustainable water management, the aim was to leverage their influence in both households and local networks, encouraging broader adoption of water-saving practices.
The project was designed to support underprivileged women in establishing their own small, profitable, sustainable, and scalable social enterprises.Over the course of two years, the initiative successfully assisted 10 women in launching four boutiques across various locations in Delhi, including Jasola, Tughlakabad, Pushp Vihar, and Darya Ganj.
Launched as a pilot project in 2018, this initiative aimed to support girls pursuing their graduation through open schools who wish to further their education and make informed career choices. Through this project, Sambhava has helped these students gain a deeper understanding of their subjects, explore future opportunities, improve functional English skills, and develop social etiquette.
The project was designed to empower women with disabilities, aged 18 to 35, to achieve financial independence through vocational skills development and placement support. The program includes foundational skill- building, sector-specific training, pre-employment preparation, additional support activities, and ongoing assessments with feedback to ensure continuous progress.
Sambhava creates opportunities by providing need- based scholarships to girls in and around Kolkata who demonstrate the ability and determination to pursue advanced studies, including doctoral programs, at renowned institutions. Many of the scholarship recipients have successfully completed their higher education and secured positions with respected companies.
Sambhava offered scholarships and additional support to sportswomen from underprivileged backgrounds and rural areas, enabling them to participate in national and international tournaments. By providing financial assistance and resources, the initiative helped the talented athletes overcome barriers related to training, travel, and competition costs. This support empowers them to showcase their skills on larger platforms, fostering their growth and career advancement in sports.
